Descrizione
Joining forces with Sire, legendary session guitarist, Larry Carlton present the modern playability and classic style of the T7. This TE-model comes loaded with a generous fistful of welcome upgrades, so the traditional foundation laid down by the alder body is strengthened by a stable roasted maple neck; the edges of the maple fretboard have been thoughtfully rounded off for an even smoother feel beneath the fret-hand; and the lower cutaway bears an extra, deepened bevel to grant easier access to the highest frets. To maintain that authentic, delicious T-esque twang while adding a brutal edge, a pair of Sire LC Super-T single-coil pickups have been mounted. Couple that with a Vintage T-Style bridge loaded with three brass saddles, and you're treated to a faithful TE-monster with a modern twist.

Ik kocht uit de B-stock van Bax een antiek witte Sire Larry Carlton t7. Wegens een kleine beschadiging aan de headstock, die je nauwelijk ziet, mocht ik ‘m voor € 480,00 euro meenemen.
Hij is in alle opzichten wunderbar: de hals, de body, de perfect ronde afwerking van de fretten, de verspringende locking tuners die stringtrees overbodig maken, de klassieke ‘asbak’ met de drie bronzen saddles. Alles aan deze gitaar is top. En dan heb je ‘m nog niet gehoord. Een supertwang! Maar ook een warm jazzgeluid via de neckpickup. Alleen maar lof. Ik durf zelfs te zeggen dat deze Tele van Sire waaraan gitaarlegende Larry Carlton zijn naam schonk beter is dan de vintage Fender Telecaster. En dan die prijs…Ongelooflijk. Maar waar.
Wow! wat een gitaar. heerlijke roasted mapple neck. Modern C shape. Niet té dik of té dun. Voelt heel lekker aan met het rolled off fretboard. Geen vlekjes of oneffenheden op de body en hals. Ik heb 2 G&L Tele's die zijn heel fijn, vooral de elementen. Maar deze Sire voelt nog beter in de hand. Elementen klinken heel OK. De levering van Bax was heel efficient. het zou 6 dagen duren voor ik de gitaar kon komen halen maar na 2 dagen kreeg ik al bericht dat-ie klaar lag. Super aankoop en ik had 'm goedkoper dan de concurentie hem aanbood. Blij mee.

Ik zocht iets om gitaar na 25jaar opnieuw een kans te geven omdat er meer tijd is vrijgekomen. Een budget gitaar zou voorlopig volstaan maar de T7 is echt stukken beter dan de prijs laat vermoeden. Heel mooie afwerking, roasted maple neck, locking tuners, pick ups die echt "tele" klinken. Gecompenseerde zadels. Dus geen vintage specs maar gewoon een degelijk instrument met modernere afwerking.
Een gitaar die bij mij blijft.
Er komt een Fender in de toekomst maar die zal minstens het dubbele kosten voor dezelfde kwaliteit.
Heel tevreden over mijn aankoop.
Niet twijfelen in je zoekt naar een hele goeie Tele zonder je te diep in je zakken te tasten.
